The new bellhousing integrates the engine bolt pattern directly so no need for an intermediate adapter. The conceptual idea is that you simply cut off your current 8HP bellhousing and replace it with the new billet bellhousing. There are several benefits using this technique, you can use a cheap transmission which normally comes with a big physical bellhousing and switch it to an engine adapted size.
